Love Is A Fire

She leant on my shoulder
And what did I feel?
I felt a warm feeling
I wished wasn’t real

I know now it’s true
What Harold did say
I am still in love
In a fairly big way

It’s becoming pure torture
To see her each time
When I know I can’t have her
She will never be mine

What do I do
To be rid of this pain
Why am I near her
When there’s nothing to gain

I am still in love
I wish that I weren’t
For love is a fire
From which I’ve been burnt

She’s breaking my heart
But she doesn’t know
For now is the time
The time to let go

(For Tracey)
