The Policeman’s Farewell

A short little note
to say but goodbye
It’s better on paper
as think I might cry

The songs we did sing
will stretch memories far
As there’s no more Ta-Ran
and no more Ta-Ra

I’ve made some good friends
and I’m willing to bet
The times we have had
I’ll never forget

We worked as a team
we functioned as one
And I’m happy to say
I’ve had lots of fun

But now It’s goodbye
‘though never for long
For your memories are with me
in the words of a song.

Many heart felt thanks and love to all.
